Hair: Dark Blonde
- "You have to get there before that happens, what do you think we're paying you for?"
- ―Alan Elbourne[src]
Alan appeared as a tall young man with an injured hand bandaged. He has dark-blonde hair (which is shaped similar to Greco’s in the movie), blue eyes and he had simple earrings in both ears. He wears a dark blue vest with a white button-up shirt underneath it and a blue cravat. Also, he wears black pants and brown shoes, a waist wearing a dark brown leather belt on the right side and holding a revolver. Like his sister and father, he wears a ring on his right hand.
He is very objective and straightforward for the job, and he won't complain to hire the best people to take or resolve some action. According to his father, Alan is emotional as shown that he reacts angrily but also violently to the D because of the facts that his sister could already become changed or even the D says it's not enough money that's already offered. Like his father, he proved deeply love and protection of his younger sister as her loss was being very difficult for him or even when he stubbornly refuses to accept that she could be changed or even killed.
Vampire Hunter D: BloodlustEdit
On the day when his sister was abducted, he organized a search party with at least fifty people. He and his friends pursued Meier Link after her abduction, but they were all slain, and his arm ended up badly broken. Along with his father, he hires D to find and rescue her.
At the same time, Alan hires another group of vampire hunters, the notorious Marcus Brothers, because of a personal grudge rather than for monetary gain. He offers D $500,000 as a down payment, and offers him $10 million if he carries out the job. He gets mad at D's double fees, but ultimately gives into his father's wishes.
- "Alan:"No! No, we can't do that! It isn't right! No, she won't be changed! You're talking about your own daughter!"
John Elbourne:"Alan, listen to me. It's not easy to ask him for this, but it's something that must be done. I'm sorry. Do you understand? ""
- ―Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust
EquipmentEditMillion Dala Bag- he gave a similar bag of coins to D as a down payment for 20 million dalas to hunt Meier Link.
The Elbourne family seems to be really wealthy, showing that they have people who work for them during a meeting with D. And another fact which goes in favor of this is just to have hired two strongest kinds of vampire hunters on Frointer.
- Alan Elbourne's voice actors were in Japanese version Kōji Tsujitani and John DeMita in the English version.
