Thanks for your intrest, but look under the reader's guide under Assassins. Lord Johann is listed.
Shadow was one of the seven originally it's not mentioned in the story when he was considered a rogue exactly. But the reader's guid makes it clear at some point Lord Johann did become one of the Seven.
I'm using it as a visual example, if you read the readers guide he makes several references to other movies and other mediums to give a perspective on how the characters work, what powers they have and what they look like. Legacy of Kain also has a secttion about the elder god at the bottom of the page that is an indepth analysis of the concept of the elder, a corrupt world, the wheel of fate how we are all tied to it. D is described as being unbound from fate and probability. The main character there has the same description that allows him to be able to see the elder. So there are many many parrallels that D fans can look at if they are really interested in this character to drwaw off of. I think its an important reference and I as its author want to share that.
It's clearly marked now as other media, and i make refernces through out it to make it clear. You as far as i know are not a memeber of the wikia, and should speak to admins before just taking it upon yourself to remove another person's contributions wether you agree with them or not. If you have an issue and you know who put it up as you seem to. You should talk to them first about it. We don't have rules on the wikia, but that is just common respect. Especially if you are not even a memeber of it.
Thank you for you inquirry though, if anyone else has grievences about any of my other contributions i would appreciate it being discussed with me first. I am taking the time to share and think out these contribuitions, anything i disagree with i would give the courtesy to you. As i have actually in the past and others have addressed with me.
Hideyuki Kikuchi references are the B-movie horror of Hammer film production, (Spaghetti) Westerns, Futaro Yamada ninja pulp novels and yes H. P. Lovecraft lore. Never was Legacy of Kain mentioned as any influence, Legacy of Kain is just another example of a title/franchise being influenced by Lovecraftian lore. Just because you played that and spotted that does not mean it has any significance to this wikia. Lovecraftian lore has been used in popular media in the same context as VHD like a bazillion times, how D or Kain sees Cthulu is not exclusive for them, and to mention LoK over any other title is a bit unfair.
Looking at the ip address i see you are the same user who incorrectly tried to inform me that Lord Johann, the trail magician wasn't one of the seven assasins. I didn't bother to check till now. You seem to not have read the readers guide and are poorly informed on alot of subjects in the meadium yet still yell these greivances.
Again if you have some thing to contribute of worth like a better visual representation of the Elder God since you say there are so many in other mediums i will take that down.
If not continue to read i'm glad for your intrest and enjoy the information provided.
Hey there i have the reader's guide and have read that. Have to look up vhd coffin i don't have that.
Try to look for any mention of the secret weapon. The readers guide in most cases only confirms what's in the book and gives more insight on stuff like Sacred Ancestor definity being D's and Tae's baby dad. Most of the actual technical info on weapons and stuff are outlined in the book as detailed or more detailed. I'll try to look for it.
So the reader's guide is emphasizing on D and Sacre Ancestor relation then.
I ask because i plan to make a little edit about Baron Byron Secret Weapon ( his main weapon ), which describe little about weapon ability info.
Though in the novel is often called a band of light or a flash of light, maybe the author want to show us that the weapon has amazing speed so human eyes cannot see it true form and thus make the readers imagination go wild.
Yea that's what i thought you meant that one weapon i left un made. The Reader's Guide Calls them "Muderous Flashes" like i wrote. It gives no more information.
I uniformed the page I'll leave you to defining the weapon. There isn't much info on it in the book and it's not specifically defined in the guide either. Not sure if there are any pictures i think it's left disambiguous on purpose though to give it some mystery and feel of power than just calling them boomerangs or giving it a special defining description could.
Thank you for the check, about Baron weapon i got the same feeling it does not have real name and the name that come from Reader's Guide it's only made so all the fan can refer to it more comfortably rather than always saying Baron secret weapon.
If i prefer about the weapon name it will be Band Of Light or Flash Of Light, since whenever i read that name it give me shudder and i can feel more literature aspect.
But i think Murderous Flashes it good enough, since it's come from Reader's Guide and the book itself was meant for us reader by giving supplementary information.
So it's okay ^ ^.
Oh btw, is there any other admin here ? Just curiosity.
Ok we will see if there is any more opinion on it.
I like putting stuff up here, plus it's for me as much as anyone else. Having some place to refer to for information when i read the books that i can look on a device i have with me than having the guide is nice. Also i have put up alot of characters not in the guide and given much more info than what was in the guide for definitions. So i enjoy it, and i having more of a say on what's here makes it perfect for me.
To me it seemed like he completely dissapeared in the story, I tried rereading it but couldn't seem to notice him anywhere. JQ was some sort off mysterious character who had some kind of telepathic ability or persuading power to control the muscles off others for example. He also seemed vaguely immortal, as he walked around with a gaping gunwound larger then the size of his fist without any problems. And there also was a mysterious second voice communicating with him as if he was schizophrenic or possesed (the latter more likely). The last we see him is when Baron Alpulup Macula flees into the Valley of Salamander, of which JQ doesn't want to go through. He says he'll Macula at the end of the Valley again.
For the sake of convenience I fused him and another character together (the fake captain smith, appears on page 91), because they where both dresssing up as soldiers from the Capital. And I have a suspicion that they are the same character. Albeit dressed up differently.
There are a couple of problems that don't measure up well, to support this theory:
1) JQ's appereance was of a middle aged tanned man. While Fake Captain Smith also got an description as (bearded giant of a man) normally suited for new characters. Normally not a problem, but I think Macula didn't recognize him. Even though he clearly met JQ, so their appeareance seemed to be different. It could be that he disguised himself again though.
2) JQ's high durability was nowhere to be found in Fake Captain Smith because D easily impaled him to his blade on which he died. He also didn't made use of his telepathic/persuading powers on D or Macula (or even tried to do so). Also the mysterious second voice is nowhere to be seen or heard off again.
So I'm in a sorta guessing game here. It would be nice to have your input on this too as the other big contributer to the wiki (and as a native english reader, who perhaps has a better comprehension of the narrative then me).
Hey there! You have done great work on the wiki appreciate you work.
Yea i haven't gotten to buying it yet, i'll let you know when i read it. If this book is a two parter he will probablly show up later the character sounds interesting. Your level of spoiling doesn't bother me, i'll make sure to read into it when i get it though.
I just have rename, view history and visual editor I don't have a ability...I don't know what the problem?..There are a many good pages that should be locked but I'm don't want bore anyone with that..But thank you ^_^ and can you lock Leila's grandaughter page,I would be very grateful ^_^
Anything done to the pages can be undone and their history is there too. If it became an issue we could put protect on them I think, want to leave the option open for any new users to try it out. I remember i didn't start of editing as a user at all too so that's why I leave it open.
You're concern though is very much appreciated if you have any other requests or concerns they are always welcomed to me. :)
Thank you so much ^_^ I'm really glad for it and you're always welcomed too ^_^
P.S.By the way I would like to hear your opinion about the Sacred Ancestor?I'm not so sure of his status,is he alive or dead? ^_^ I think because of Mina the Fair,by Count Magnus Lee he said that it was due to Mina that the Sacred Ancestor was turned to dust?
Yea he has the power to resurrect himself. Reader's Guide confirms he has since returned to life and is alive now. Also in the guide he isn't certain himself if he can Die, as there is a story of him fighting D in it as well called ARMAGEDDON that details this if you get it.
Yea it's his own body, doesn't say exactly how or if its even of his free will. He seems uncertain if he can die at all by any means.
Doesn't mention anything else about Mina other than what was said about her in the first book as far as i have read. He makes another appearance in the latest book that i haven't read yet, I doubt it mentions anything about her.
Yes ^_^ I agree with you about The Sacred Ancestor, but honestly I would love to get more mentions about him. ^_^
His background is more mysterious than D,but he is still one of the better character in VHD. ^_^ Because despite his overwhelming strength and power,he doesn't terrorize humans as a many Nobles,I think it's the D repeatedly mentioned, but that is just my opinion ^_^
Well i kinda agree. I like that his compasion for humanity is born out of the fact that his ultimate goal is the betterment and evolution of his race which he acknowledges means both humans and vampires. To say humans are less than cattle or what not would mean not to acknowledge the truth or the facts. He acknowledges that humans are needed for this and that neither race is better than the other and that while vampires may have many superior strength so do humans. He sees that vampires have hit an evolutionary dead road and that humans still have the potential to grow to one day surpass vampires in all ways but that it also needs the vampires powers to really ever accomplish that as while they have to potential to grow now they too may hit an evolutionary end as well.
So his benevolence is based on that it is the most rational and only route either race could have. I like that take on the situation as it does apply to the real world.
He also acknowledges there are supernatural things and puts this to use as well it isn't just everything is science that's it. He implements the supernatural aspects of things into his research and technology. So there is a religious aspect to it too.
I think the combining of all that together into his rational thinking despite being both antagonist and protagonist to the story along with shades of gray and darker than black thrown in there makes for a trully unique character.
^_^ As you say The Sacred Ancestor as vampire god or king has the goal betterment and evolution of his race, but is not harmful to humans.Well, maybe cattle is a difficult word,is true that humans not acknowledge the truth or the facts, but I think not should blame them because they are afraid for that has many reasons.I know that ^_^ but I think sometimes he doesn't want that to happen, but whether ^_^
Well, yes I think so.^_^But in my opinion,I don't support his experiments, because they are more negative than positive.
Yes,he is equally antagonist and protagonist, but I agree with your opinion that makes him a truly unique character. ^_^
LOL hey!! well to answer seriously you could probablly write a book just on that in this situation. Some main reasons:
1. Story wise she spends everything on the farm and her and her brother, so she doesn't have extra money laying around. She has no other means to pay for the best hunter in the world.
2. She's overtly sexually expressive personality wise. She takes her clothes off for him just as a distraction in battle, so she knows she's attractive and uses it if she can.
3. She is instantly attracted to D and his looks make most people so attracted to him they would offer the sme thing anyway in a haze even if they didn't usually do it.
4. The story is mainly about the wild west and samurai type stuff. Back then it was common if a woman wanted to hire a samurai or a gun fighter to offer their bodies to them for payment or just as a bonus.
Yes i read but i never understand that to much LOL..Yeah of course, how stupid I am xD i ask one person from wiki and you both are similar explain but she is a gentler..but Doris is really atractive but I've noticed it's nothing special to D that Magnus Lee LOL
LOL not a stupid question, its actually a very complex question to answer i think. I can't even fully answer it on the wiki. Obviously there are psychological implications of it you could try to hash out but I gave the best least complex of it. Others also could be she
isolated living out on the farm:
she's an alpha type female, Greco isn't and probalbly wouldn't be that strong a mate. so she's cut off from anyone suitable for her. This is showcased in that she took out the hunters before her encounter with D.
For her its also like a mating ritual thing with her taking out hunters testing her skills and D passing the test
Hello,my name is Maya :).I'm a big fan VHD,i a regular visitor to this wiki, I noticed that your participation in the processing of page, because I read a lot of them, I decided to contact you on wall,i'd like to ask what is the D relationship with Doris, whether he likes her or something else?
Hello Maya! glad you are an avid reader/vistor of the site, and read D. I have noticed you post to othe people as well.
As far as D and Doris their relationship is kinda unknown. She still has her heart set on him as Dr. Tsurugi says other than that we have no follow up to it. D has had some "relations" too since, that were romantic in nature as well, still doesn't confirm or deny what ever relation he has with Doris.
I personally think there was the strongest reaction relationship wise out of him from Mia Simon.
Thank you and yes.Yes i know, really really unkwon.Yes Tsurugi say that, but as far as D he looks too close to her, possible that he has some feelings for her as her has for him as well. But I think it's more denying, because maybe she not managed to win enough D.For Mia I do not know, I have not read the book.
If it helps (I see that this is an old ask), I saw somewhere online that somebody asked the translator for the books a similar question, 'Was D ever in love with Doris?' and he in turn asked the author. This came off the internet as I was searching for an answer myself so take it with a grain of salt, but the answer that supposedly came from Hideyuki Kikuchi was 'No'.
I've read the book- though it's been some years, and the manga and I get the impression that D regards Doris as a friend rather than a potential love interest. I know they kissed and what could have happened if they weren't interuppted remains unkown but IMHO, I think D took the kiss as his payment rather than have sex with her because I think he repsected Doris too much to actually take advantage of her throwing herself at him.
lol yea you have to take his answer with a grain of salt though. He makes it clear in the story it's more complicated than "No". As you probably know just because you refese or don't acknowledge "Love" for some one dosn't mean the feelings don't exist or don't have the potential to be reached. Clearly the potential is there for him to have feelings for her. He repspects her skill, her determination to surivive, is attracted to her, is willing to work to save her basically for nothing, etc. So even if it is "no" there would still be lots more to it than that not to say that you finding that isn't usefull though. I didn't know about that till you posted that so its appreciated and thanks for sharing that info!
Actually, I think it was a "never" kind of no, I have to find that site I saw it on (or get in contact with the translator myself), but I agree, though. There's varying degrees of love and doesn't necessarily have to be strictly romantic or platonic. I'm not denying that the potential for romance is there, and more than likely he left to save himself, as well as Doris, a hefty amount of grief. He's basically immortal, any time spent trying to make a life with Doris would pass like minutes for D and that would be agonzing, and it would be just as painful for her to watch him grow sadder at her growing old and eventually dying. It breaks my heart that she passed on what could have been a good life with Dr. Tsurugi to continue pining for someone she'll probab'y never see again.
And speaking of Tsurugi, I have the cutest picture of him from the Reader's guide that I need to scan.
